“Women from the Frontlines,” the first in our outdoor projection series, features stories from local and international photojournalists Lynsey Addario, Kael Alford, Samantha Appleton, Nina Berman, Paula Bronstein, Rina Castelnuovo, Denise DeVore, Jessica Dimmock, Ronnie Farley, Evelyn Hockstein, Mona Reeder, Lana Slezic, Anastasia Taylor-Lind. The show is curated by Fovea’s Amrita Singh.
A veteran of the New York Jazz scene, alto saxophonist Dave Bixler and the band—Scott Wendholt on trumpet, John Hart on guitar, Ugonnna Ugekwo on bass, and Andy Watson on drums—craft their playing with the song in mind, are known for their rhythmic backbone and emotional nuance.
This projection is in conjunction with the exhibition “Dispatches from the Frontlines: 12 Women Photojournalists” which holds it’s opening reception from 4 to 8 p.m. June 14 and is on view through August 3 at Fovea Exhibitions.
